Nighthawks separate from MSC volleyball pack

Northern Guilford created a little separation from the rest of the Mid-State 3-A Conference on Sept. 24.

The Nighthawks improved to 17-0 overall and 8-0 in conference play, plus they hung a first conference loss on Williams in a five-game thriller.

Northern posted a 20-25, 25-19, 25-20, 16-25, 15-7 win against the Bulldogs to take sole possession of first place in the conference.

Elizabeth Ouzts paced Northern's offensive attack with 27 kills and added nine digs on defense. Emily Krochmal was good for 13 kills and 12 digs while setter Jordan Minor dished out 26 assists.
Bailey Morton tallied 16 assists and 10 digs while libero Cami Williams picked up digs. Jenny Hall scored 10 service points to go along with six digs while Alana Nottage added five kills and seven digs.
